Jon has worked in venture and private equity for over 20 years and is a Partner at Wave Ventures. He also serves as CTO of cybersecurity startup The HACC Group, and Executive Director of the University of North Texas Murphy Center for Entrepreneurship, where he works with university spinouts. Previously, he was a Managing Director with New York based OmniCap, LLC where he focused on secondary private equity transactions and capital raises. Previously he launched a cross-border investment advisory firm in Tokyo (merged with OmniCap in 2015), was a Senior Group Internal Auditor at Nestlé, managed a venture capital portfolio for a Hong Kong family office and served in the United States Marine Corps.
He has held various board and committee seats, lived and worked in the US, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Belgium and Switzerland.
Jon holds Series 7 & 63 licenses, earned his BS in Engineering Physics at the University of North Texas, an MBA from Vlerick Management School and completed the Oxford University Private Equity Programme.
