Jon is a Partner at Wave Ventures, bringing over 20 years of experience in venture capital and private equity. He also serves as CTO of cybersecurity startup The HACC Group and Executive Director of the Murphy Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of North Texas, where he supports university commercialization.
Previously, Jon was a Managing Director at New York-based OmniCap, LLC, where he specialized in secondary private equity transactions and capital raising. Before that, he founded a cross-border investment advisory firm in Tokyo, which later merged with OmniCap in 2015. His earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Group Internal Auditor at Nestlé, a venture portfolio manager for a Hong Kong family office, and service in the United States Marine Corps.
Jon has held numerous board and committee positions and has lived and worked across the U.S., Japan, Hong Kong, China, Belgium, and Switzerland, bringing a truly global perspective to WAVE investments. Jon leads cybersecurity, automation and robotics investments for the firm.
He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses, earned a BS in Engineering Physics from the University of North Texas, an MBA from Vlerick Management School, and completed the Oxford University Private Equity Programme.
